Mias Nortje founded Cosmos Brokers in 1983. After years of working in the long-term insurance industry, it was time for a change. Mias, an aspiring entrepreneur, decided to take a risk and follow his ambition of starting his own insurance brokerage. Cosmos Brokers was formed and operated independently under Mias Nortje’s leadership in less than four months. With the addition of his wife, Annamie, and daughter Chantall, Cosmos Brokers has now evolved into a family-owned brokerage. Together they’ve taken Cosmos to new heights, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this dynamic trio with a love for insurance and customer service will lead the firm in the future.
